Third-party notices

The open-source software this site and Keyward Server are built with, and the licences it is used under.

Last changed

Keyward is built on the work of others. This page names what it is built with and under which licence. When Keyward Desktop and the command line exist, each installer will install a THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt beside its program: the notices and the licence texts of exactly the components that program ships, written from its build. Where this page and that file differ, the file is the complete list for that release.

Keyward Server

Keyward Server is a downstream fork of Infisical, whose core is used under the MIT License. The parts of upstream kept under its separate enterprise licence are not part of any Keyward release artifact. The server's own NOTICE, THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES and PROVENANCE.md in its repository are the complete record for a given build; the upstream version and commit a build is based on are in its /keyward/provenance.json.

The typeface the server's web interface uses is Inter, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. It replaces a typeface upstream ships whose redistribution rights were not established.

The icons are drawn by the site itself, after the geometry of Lucide (ISC License). The site uses the system's own user-interface fonts and ships no typeface.

The site's image is built on Microsoft's .NET container images (MIT, with Ubuntu's own licences for the operating system layer).

The website itself

The website's code was forked from Exprezoe's own Quikap and PluggedDesk websites, which are Exprezoe's work.
