Early access, by license

Keyward Desktop and the command line are licensed per computer, and one license covers both. During early access, licenses go to Exprezoe's staff and to the testers we invite, and nothing is on sale. Prices for general availability have not been announced, and we will not guess at them here.

Questions

About licenses

What does a license cover?

Keyward Desktop and the command line, on a number of seats. A seat is a computer: activating it once covers both programs on it. You can see your computers on your account page and give a seat back at any time.

What happens when a license ends?

Both programs go on working on the computers where they are installed, and the vault on each stays yours. Those installations stop receiving updates, and the downloads page closes, until the license is renewed.

Do the programs stop working without a connection to this site?

No. An installation carries a signed entitlement that it can check by itself. It asks this site only when it looks for an update or renews that entitlement. Storing, answering and approving never depend on this site or on any server.

Is Keyward Server licensed the same way?

No. Keyward Server is operated by Exprezoe for its own staff and products today, and an enterprise tier built on it is designed and not priced. It is a container image, not a download from this site.

Can I move a seat to another computer?

Yes. Deactivate the installation you no longer use, in Keyward Desktop or on your account page, and activate the new one.

What will it cost after early access?

That has not been decided, so it is not stated here. When it has been, it will be published on this page.

Licenses and seats in the documentation

Keyward Server 1.0.0-alpha.1 is being built; Keyward Desktop is designed

A secrets, credentials and machine-identity platform you run yourself, and a vault on your own Windows computer that gives AI sessions handles instead of secrets. In early access, licenses go to Exprezoe's staff and to the testers we invite; one license covers Keyward Desktop and the command line.
